Sinossi
L’idea alla base di questo documentario è quella di raccontare con leggerezza e senza retorica (ma comunque con il dovuto rispetto e l’approfondimento necessario), il dietro le quinte del lavoro e della vita dei volontari che operano in Mozambico, soprattutto vista l’emergenza del paese, colpito recentemente da due cicloni che hanno stroncato una popolazione (soprattutto le comunità rurali) già messa in ginocchio dalla diffusa povertà e dalle precarie condizioni igieniche. I volontari sono stati ripresi non soltanto durante le loro attività sul campo, ma anche nei momenti di vita quotidiana, per capire meglio e senza preconcetti, l’esperienza che hanno vissuto e stanno vivendo
The basis to this documentary is the idea of light narration with no rhetoric (but nevertheless with due respect for and a necessary probing of the subject) in going behind the scenes in the on- and off-duty lives of the volunteers operating in Mozambique. This context is particularly topical given the emergency in the country, recently hit by two cyclones crippling a population (especially in rural communities) that was already on its knees from widespread poverty and precarious hygiene conditions. The volunteers have been filmed not only during their field work but also during their everyday lives, so that viewers can better understand ‒ and without prejudice ‒ how their experience has been and is.
